Types and categories of the US visa

When citizens of foreign countries want to enter the US, they must obtain a US visa which is usually placed in their passports. There are certain people who can enter and travel the US without this visa, as long as they meet all the criteria for visa-free travel. US residents do not need a US visa to travel. However, if they travel abroad, they will ที่เที่ยวในอเมริกา have to obtain a visa from the embassy of that country where the person intends to travel.

The 2 Basic Types and 3 Categories of US Visas

Immigration laws will generally define or specify the type of US visa that a person must obtain in order to travel within the country. There are two basic types of visas that are associated with the type of travel you will take. These are:

o Immigrant Visas - Required to travel through the US when you want to eventually establish citizenship in the country.

o Nonimmigrant Visas: Required to travel through the US temporarily.

Therefore, it is important that you know what your intentions are before obtaining one of these visas. You will also be asked to inform the authorities what type of document you need. There are 3 categories of US visas as follows:

Student Visas - A limited number of students are eligible to enter the US.

Visit Visas - Whether for business or pleasure, this US visa entitles the person to stay in the country for a limited period of time.

Work Visas - Depending on your field of work, the U.S. Department of Labor or another federal government agency may require you to receive your certification to live and work in the U.S.

Using a visa to enter the U.S.

Having one of the two types of visas mentioned above entitles the person (and their family, if applicable) to enter the U.S. In one of two ways:

o A port of entry

o Airport or land border crossing

It also allows the person to request information from an inspector employed by CBP (Customs and Border Protection) or DHS (Department of Homeland Security). Although you may have obtained a US visa before coming to the US, it does not guarantee your entry into the country. It simply indicates that a consulate or a consular officer of the United States embassy has determined that a person is eligible to enter the United States.

Additionally, CBP and DHS inspectors are responsible for protecting US borders and points of entry and admitting foreign travelers into the country under a specific status and for a specific period of time. Another responsibility of the DHS inspector involves any immigration issues or issues that arise when the person is here in the US You can usually visit a US consulate or embassy to apply for a US visa.
